More Than a Yearbook Photo | Senior Portraits That Tell Your Story

I’m bringing senior portraits back, and I could not be more excited about it!

There is something so special about this season of life. It sits right in that in-between space where everything feels big and new and a little surreal. One chapter is ending, another is just beginning, and somehow it all happens faster than anyone expects. As a photographer, I’ve always been drawn to moments like this. The ones that deserve to be felt, remembered, and celebrated exactly as they are. And as a mom of three, I feel this so keenly. I’ve got one who has already graduated and moved away, and two more who are creeping up on this moment far faster than I’d like to admit (to myself, anyway).

Senior and graduate portraits are about documenting who you are right now. Not a polished, stiff version of you. The real you. The one your friends know, the one your family loves, the one stepping into whatever comes next.

That is why I am so intentional about how I approach every session. Whether you are a high school senior, a college graduate, or completing a trade or certificate program, your session is designed around you. Your personality, your energy, your interests, your story. No cookie-cutter locations. No awkward posing. No pressure to be anything other than yourself.

If you love open fields and golden light, we can lean into the natural beauty that the San Francisco Bay Area does so well. If you feel more like yourself in an urban setting, we can explore areas that match your vibe. If your world revolves around music, sports, art, or something uniquely yours, we build that into the session. The goal is always the same…to create senior portraits that feel natural, vibrant, and full of life.

And for the parents reading this, I know this season hits differently. One minute they are so little, and the next you are watching them step into adulthood. A senior or graduate portrait session gives you something to hold onto in the middle of all that change. Not just a photo, but a snapshot of who they are right now. Their smile, their confidence, their personality as it exists in this exact moment in time.

There is also something powerful for the seniors and graduates themselves. Taking the time to celebrate this milestone builds confidence. It creates space to pause and recognize how far you have come. It gives you images that feel like you, not something forced or uncomfortable. And yes, it can actually be fun. That part matters more than people think.

As a photographer working throughout Brentwood, Oakley, Antioch, Pittsburg, Clayton, the surrounding East Contra Costa County communities, and the greater San Francisco Bay Area, my focus is always on connection. I want you to feel comfortable the second we start. I want you to laugh, move, and forget the camera is even there. The best images come from those in-between moments when you are just being yourself.

Bringing senior portraits back into my offerings feels like coming home to a part of photography that I truly love. These sessions are full of energy, emotion, and personality, and no two are ever the same.

If you are looking for senior portraits or planning graduation photos that actually reflect who you are, I would love to create something meaningful with you. This is your moment. Let’s make sure it feels like it.
